Talkin' Turkey's and MIA

Well if I wasn't staring at my computer screen typing this up I wouldn't believe it myself, but yes I am blogging for the first time in months. Last time I mentioned how things were quite crazy around here and things were changing and that they most certainly have. For the last 5 months I have been busy I haven't been baking the traditional cookies and cakes. I have been busy making sure our little one is safe inside my tummy, baking away until the beginning of April when the little tyke is due. I am having a baby and I couldn't be more happy!!!

I am 19 weeks along today and Praise the Lord finally feeling semi normal again (thanks to the meds...but I will take it) I was super super super sick from 6 weeks on and without the medicine I become a very sick human being all day and all night. We find out next week what our little peanut is and we cannot wait. If you would like to follow along on my bump journey I started a family blog which pretty much currently only consists of baby bump posts, but will soon consist of recipes (since I have finally started to cook again) and DIY projects for the house and baby. You can follow along over at Life Is: Sweet.

So my hiatus has been for a good reason and I hope to get back to regular blogging quite soon. Thank you to those of you who have held on while I took my break.

Now, since I have been feeling better I have been working on some new projects, which have taken longer than planned due to my computer crash where I lost a TON of stuff. But I have been making due with my hubby's laptop and just finished my Thanksgiving Unit and Craft Pack. This may be my favorite pack yet and I hope someone is able to benefit from it. :)

Talkin' Turkey's is full of 76 pages of supplemental materials that can be used to help teach your students about Thanksgiving. The activities in this pack are to accompany your instruction, thus you will need to make sure you have researched everything you want to teach your little turkey's.

My favorite part of this entire pack is the adorable turkey craft. This little guy kept evolving the more I got to crafting and the end result makes me very happy.

Here are some other pictures of things included in this pack.
Do you like turkey? student graph and coordinating class graph parts in color are included.
KWL and Can, Have, Are/Were, Had, Did Anchor Charts for various Thanksgiving related ideas.
Thankful Thoughts Writing Sheet
Pilgrim and Wampanoag Fact Sheets: Students fill in with information presented in class.
Label Charts for various Thanksgiving Related terms. These charts are available in color and black and white and come with coordinating label activities as seen above.
Two Thanksgiving Readers: The reader on the left is a story all about the first Thanksgiving and the one on the right in the picture above is an interactive one where students write what they see, smell, hear, taste, and feel on Thanksgiving Day.
2 How to writing activities are included: How to Catch a Turkey and How to Cook a Turkey
This pack also includes 2 writing prompts: If I had a pet turkey and I can't wait to eat.

Thanksgiving Vocabulary Cards and a couple other Thanksgiving Activities are also included in this pack.

As you can see this pack is jammed full of tons of materials to help supplement your Thanksgiving chit-chat in your classroom. I would love to hear what you think and would love for you to check it out by clicking on any of the pictures above or by clicking HERE to find it in my TPT store.
